Staff Bios Brenda Haaga is the Central Kansas Foundation Prevention Services Director overseeing the Regional Prevention Center of North Central / Northeast Kansas, Salina Area Tobacco Use Prevention Program and the IMPACT Coalition. Brenda has been active in substance abuse prevention most of her life but has served in the professional capacity since 2003. She served as a state trainer in the Strategic Prevention Framework and is knowledgeable in coalition building and community mobilization. In November 2009, she completed her training to become a Life Skills trainer. She is a trained facilitator for the Guiding Good Choices parenting program, Prime For Life, Spiceline, Kansasbaseline, Teen Baseline and TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS). She has presented at state and national conferences on substance abuse prevention initiatives that she has been involved with. Brenda is married and has four children. Daniel Craig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Pittsburg State University in 2004. He obtained his Master’s of Science degree in Health Promotion & Wellness Management at Missouri State University in 2006. Daniel became a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association in 2009. Daniel has a strong background in planning and coordinating health promotion and tobacco prevention activities. He is involved in a wide range of programs and activities in the community that promote healthy lifestyle choices. Daniel has worked for Central Kansas Foundation since 2006 and is currently the Tobacco Program Coordinator. Jodie Beisner is a Community Consultant for the Regional Prevention Center of North Central/Northeast Kansas. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from the University of Kansas. She has worked in the field of substance abuse prevention for over seven years, five in her current position at Central Kansas Foundation. She is knowledgeable in the Strategic Prevention Framework, coalition building, and community mobilization. In January 2009, she completed her training in becoming a Drug Endangered Children Trainer. Jodie is married with a son and daughter. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and cheering on the Jayhawks! Misty is a Prevention Coordinator with the Regional Prevention Center of North Central and Northeast Kansas. She currently is the Program Coordinator for the Drug Free Communities Support Grant in Saline County. Full of passion and commitment, Misty is at the beginning of her Substance Abuse Prevention career. She is dedicated to bettering communities for our youth. She is knowledgeable in the Strategic Prevention Framework, coalition building, and community mobilization. She has a personal devotion to youth drug and alcohol prevention and experience with addiction and its effects on family and community. Misty was born and raised in Salina, KS. By attending local schools, Misty has first-hand knowledge of the community's school system and connections with faculty and students. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Misty is an avid Kansas State Wildcat fan, making game day a family fun event! Kelly Nichols is a Community Consultant for the Regional Prevention Center of Northeast Kansas. She recieved her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elmentary Education from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL. Sarah is a Community Consultant with the Regional Prevention Center of North East Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Business Adminstration degree in Marketing from St. Edwards University in Austin, TX.
